A new uniquely tasting apple variety was discovered in Belgium – a natural cross between Gala and Braeburn.

After 10 years of testing and refining the first commercial crop was harvested. The KANZI® brand was born.

KANZI® was sold in supermarkets for the very first time.

NOT EVERY APPLE CAN BE A KANZI

One could imagine that an apple has a pretty dreamy life, hanging out all day, soaking up the sunshine and gently growing. But it’s not quite that simple.

Because our bright red KANZI® apples are grown in specially selected orchards all over the world. There, each KANZI® apple is nurtured and cared for from blossom to finally being hand-picked during the harvest.

Only the premium first-class apples that pass strict criteria are sold as KANZI®. Our experienced growers prune the trees so that each apple receives just the right amount of sunlight to develop the exceptional colour and flavour of KANZI®.

KANZI® is grown in eleven countries around the world by hundreds of selected growers. And whenever and wherever possible, we make sure that our apples are produced in the countries and regions where we sell them. Our orchards are carefully selected for the soil, climate and artisan skills of the growers. We cultivate our trees with care and pay particular attention to ensure they have the space and light necessary to develop apples full of flavour and of exceptional quality. The apples are only harvested and carefully packed when they are perfect, have the renowned red peel and are just right in terms of maturity.
